A typical worship service at Sanctuary consists of 30 minutes or so of contemporary and traditional music, the worship is both joyful and reverent. Our goal is to enter into the presence of God- both to be ministered to and to hear what He has to say.
Following our "half-time" activities- announcements, offering, special music, and testimonies, our kids are dismissed for Children's Church while Pastor Keith shares the Word in the sanctuary.
While people can and do get saved in church, our primary field of evangelism is OUTSIDE the church. So our people are prepared to "model" Christ 24/7 in their world.
Our congregation is made up of folks from a wide variety of backgrounds- and we'd love to have you come join us!
Sanctuary is a unique church in many respects. The vast majority of our folks come from either non-churched or traditional religious backgrounds. This "melting pot" of opinions and traditions truly makes this place feel like home! That, which makes us family, is of course, our common faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Our ministry includes music/drama, youth and children. We have a quality staff of dedicated men and women who see service to the Body of Christ as a primary call on their lives. Servanthood is not just a church cliché with us; it's the MAIN focus of our function and outreach.
If you are ever in the Batavia, Illinois area, we hope you will come by and visit. Our service times and phone numbers are listed elsewhere on this site. And of course, your email comments and questions are always welcome.
Thanks again for stopping by...we hope you enjoy your visit!
